I received my netbook on Wednesday however needed to attend for some days before voicing my opinion. i am glad I did.
Like many, I modified the RAM to a pair of GB, though I did this before turning the pc on for the primary time. Following that, I pressed the incorrect “power” button and located myself in Asus’ specific Gate, that immediately annoyed me as a result of i assumed that that was it – i used to be stuck with those four programs, with no means of accessing the massive exhausting drive, etc.. One short panic attack later, I did some Googling and realized that you are alleged to press the button on the proper to access Windows seven. So I did.
I spent consecutive few hours trying to customise, however putting in an antivirus program, backing up the pc, handling the “your antivirus programs are off” flag and not realizing that the netbook was trying to update its own antivirus program within the background created everything lock up. i used to be solely able to do things once each jiffy, and that i was worried that the matter was either with the memory or with the netbook or with Windows seven. In any case, not happy.
One day later, with a far cooler head, I played around a little with it, adding in Asus’ System Setting utility in order that I may modification the background. It turned out that when i finished being an idiot attempting to run too several installers promptly, the 2GB memory was quite enough to stay everything running smoothly. Go figure 
There were plenty of complaints regarding Windows seven Starter, however currently that they’ve removed the three-app restriction, I realize that it’s very easy to figure with. I put in workplace 2007 and haven’t had any problems as I work on my book or browse the web. plenty of the upgrades in Windows seven final had to try and do with movie playback/recording and DVDs, none of that are functions that I will use on very little} little issue. I even tested it out and located that I will use a VGA cable and hook up my tv as a monitor. i am hoping that this interprets into a projector-friendly perform.
It will take to a small degree whereas to urge used to the keyboard, and that i realize that my hands rest with my palms on the wristrest and my arms on the table. My actual wrists are hovering in midair, that is annoying however not wholly uncomfortable. simply got to get used to it, I suppose.
If you scan through this whole review, thanks. i believe that the ASUS Eee laptop Seashell ten05PE-MU27-PI 10.1-Inch Pink Netbook with Kindle for laptop (11 Hours of Battery Life) may be a nice purchase. i would not use it for Photoshopping, except for a day-to-day different to the heavy-duty laptop, it will quite well. (Please note that it absolutely was a little pinker than I expected. should be a trick of the lighting.)
