When the keyboard with their outstanding individual keys, Sony respect best standards – and that pays off. The spacing between the keys are very generous. The price for the Sony Vaio F is slightly below the € 1,000 mark. Nevertheless, the housing is made entirely of plastic and has sturdy at first sight and well finished. A second scrutinizing look reveals, however, some shortcomings: crooked used function keys, a very rickety drive and extract a lock despite not firmly seated battery such as Sony PCGA-BP71 battery, Sony VGP-BPS3 battery and Sony PCG-Z505 battery. The large surface of the plastic display cover can also press very easily and the screen offers little protection.
The Sony Vaio VPC-F11M1E offers almost all the conditions for a good multimedia notebook. Very good screen, a Blu-ray drive, and many interfaces. The speaker, however, are merely satisfactory. Its graphics and computing power for such a notebook is always sufficient, even casual gamers will get their money. This is clear, however at the expense of battery life. Sony-typical points on the tester light manufacturing defects . For a price of 1200 $, the total package yet convinced.
